At the 2019 Real Learning Summit, Bellevue University presented its second Innovation@Work award to Northeast Community College, a public community college system in Nebraska. In 2012, Northeast Community College, led by President Dr. Michael Chipps, created the Center for Enterprise that concentrates on training tailored to meet the needs of local and regional employers. Their priority of community stabilization and rural revitalization has been a huge success, and Northeast Community College happily accepted the honor.

In 2018, Bellevue University awarded the first-ever Innovation@Work Award to SunTrust Bank. At the time of the awarding, the Professional Banking Operations & Leadership (PBOL) custom learning program, created in collaboration with Bellevue University and SunTrust Bank, was just over five years old. The program had a powerful impact. Performance reviews, career movement, and more were positively impacted by PBOL. And ultimately, retention increased by 20% among graduates. SunTrust gained national attention in the form of awards for this program. It was the perfect moment to honor this long-standing partner.

Nora Adams, First Vice President and Talent Management Consultant for Career Strategies at SunTrust Banks, Inc., accepts the 2018 Innovation@Work Award. Nora had a huge impact on the creation and success of PBOL.
